The Global Philanthropy Tracker (GPT) is a first-of-its-kind research effort that provides a baseline for understanding global philanthropy by tracking cross-border giving at the country-level and analyzing how these private donations interact with the broader landscape of international development assistance and resource flows. It presents data on four major resource flows—philanthropic outflows, official development assistance (ODA), remittances, and private capital investment. Building on the latest data available across countries, the forthcoming 2026 GPT report provides an updated analysis of these four resource flows and sheds light on how private giving and development assistance have evolved in a shifting global landscape. The new report covers 47 countries, which together represented 83% of global GDP.
