US$30-$100 depending on the coverage. If a PO registers at the township level, registration is free, states and divisional level costs US$30 and union level costs US$100. These rates are significantly lower than the cost of US$500 (for all categories) under the previous law enacted in 1988.
Government levels primarily regulating the incorporation of philanthropic organizations: Central/federal government, local government, and state government
If the PO is located at the village or township level, it can register at the local government level by submitting its application to the local government. The registration at the local level is free. However, at the state level, the registration fee is US$30, and the POs can only work within the geographical coverage stated in the registration document.
At the central/national level, it costs US$100 to register a philanthropic organization. National level POs can work in several states and divisions as long as they are within the geographical areas included in the registration.
